3 – Starting Class
- For non-hybrid classes, proceed as normal (there is a microphone if you need to boost your voice - see wireless microphone #4)
- For Hybrid classes conducted via WebEx or Microsoft Teams:
Note: All three classrooms have wireless microphones; Compton also has a stationary mic at the lectern
For hybrid classes, there are Logitech (Logi) Cameras, Ceiling Microphones, and other hardware.
First, have your computer on, and be sure you have your cell phone or a device to authenticate a Duo request. Be sure to install the Duo app on your smartphone if you have not already. Duo's "Send Me a Push" screen is at the left. |

4 – Microphone (includes Sound Reinforcement for room)
Using the Wireless Microphone:
ON
Note: Sometimes you can place the microphone in a manner that it moves and points toward your neck/chest. If you hear a lot of rumbles, double-check where the microphone is. It may be pointing straight into your skin or clothing. Adjust as necessary. You may want to carry an extra battery in case the last person to use the wireless microphone left it on overnight or it is at the end of its life. It will start sounding distorted when the battery is nearly dead. OFF
