Windows 10 Pro or Enterprise - Remote Desktop is in Start - Windows Accessories
Windows 10 Home - You will need to download the Remote Desktop App from the Windows Store prior to following directions.
macOS or iPadOS - Microsoft Remote Desktop from the Mac App Store or iPad App Store (iPad users will also need to install the GlobalProtect VPN Client).
Chromebook - Microsoft Remote Desktop from the Google Play Store (Chromebook users will also need to install the GlobalProtect Plugin).


  1. Connect to VPN. See FSU provided directions.
  2. Open web browser and go to https://remoteaccess.labstats.com/fsu
  3. Find the lab and computer you want to connect to.
  4. Click connect.
  5. Click download to download the connection file.
  6. When connection file downloads click ok to open with Remote Desktop Connection.
  7. Click connect on the unknown publisher prompt.
  8. At the credentials screen click more choices at the bottom.
  9. Click use a different account.
  10. In username box type frostburg\yourusername
  11. Enter password and click OK.
