How to map a network drive
Usually network drives such as the P and U drives are available by default on Windows and by request on Mac. They are visible in “This PC” in Windows File explorer, or “Locations” in Finder on Mac.
If the drives do not show up here however, even after a restart, you may want to try re-mapping the network drive to your system.
Windows
On windows, you can map the network drives by following these steps:
Open the File Explorer.
Right-click on “This PC” and select “Map network drive” from the pop-out menu.
Select the network drive letter you wish to connect to. Next to “Folder”, type the extension next to the selected drive letter.
Select “Finish”, and the drive should connect from there.
If the drives do not show up or you get a connection failure, please contact the FSU IT Helpdesk.
Mac
Open Finder.
Go to the top menu, select “Go”, and then select “Connect to server”. A window should pop up afterward.
At the top bar of this window, type “smb://fsunas1/campus$” and then click “Connect”.
After that, your network drives should appear in Finder.
If the drives do not show up or you get a connection failure, please contact the FSU IT Helpdesk.
