Windows computer: (for Mac instructions scroll down)
Expand the system tray (click the up arrow in the bottom right hand side of your screen next to the time).
Look for the Global Protect icon in the system tray. It looks like a globe and it may have a red x over it:
If that icon appears, Global Connect is already installed! Double click on the icon in the system tray and enter the information below.
In the portal field enter: vpn.frostburg.edu and then enter your user credentials in the other field without the ‘@frostburg.edu’. Click connect.
Once connected you may minimize the client and access resources just as though you are on campus.
Mac Computer:
Go to your menu bar (this is the area on the top right of your desktop near the time).
Look for the Global Protect icon. It looks like a globe and it may have a red x over it:
If that icon appears, Global Connect is already installed! Single click on the icon and select Connect. A Window will appear called GlobalProtect Login.
In the portal field enter: vpn.frostburg.edu and then enter your user credentials in the other field without the ‘@frostburg.edu’. Click connect.
Once connected you may minimize the client and access resources just as though you are on campus.
