Image Modified

Multiple Screens (Gira)

  1. Choose Display (L or R Projector)
  2. Choose the source (Laptop HDMI)

Single Screen (Compton & Cordts PE Center)

  1. You only need to choose the source button

Note: Touchscreen only - If the source does not come on, you may have to select it a second time or select something different and then select the source you want.  This basically tells the switch to “wake up!”

Also, note there is a Mute button for the ceiling (Student) microphones to the lower right of the screen.

3 – Microphone (includes Sound Reinforcement for room)

...

Microphone:  All three classrooms have wireless microphones; Compton also has a stationary mic at the lectern

ON

  1. The on switch is at the top of the unit. You press for around ½ second to turn on.
  2. You will see lights and a small screen that lets you know the microphone is on.
  3. Place the microphone capsule on (clips on to clothes). We recommend around a hand’s width from the bottom of your chin.

Note:  Sometimes you can place the microphone in a manner that it moves and points toward your neck/chest.  If you hear a lot of rumbles, double-check where the microphone is.  It may be pointing straight into your skin or clothing.  Adjust as necessary. You may want to carry an extra battery in case the last person to use the wireless microphone left it on overnight or it is at the end of its life.  It will start sounding distorted when the battery is nearly dead.

OFF

  • To turn the microphone off, use the same button at the top until the light and screen are off

4 - Camera for WebEx or Microsoft Teams:

The cameras are in the rear of each classroom close to the center.  You can point the remote in that general direction to control.

If the camera is off, the lens points straight down, see image below.

If the camera is on, the lens will point somewhere toward you.
