Expand the system tray (click the up arrow in the bottom right hand side of your screen next to the time).

Once connected you may minimize the client and access resources just as though you are on campus.

Go to your menu bar (this is the area on the top right of your desktop near the time).

Look for the Global Protect GlobalProtect icon.   It looks like a globe and it may have a red x over it:grey globe:

If that icon appears, Global Connect is already installed!  Single click

Click on the icon and select Connect. A Window will appear called GlobalProtect Login.In the portal field enter:   . If the box above the Connect button is empty, type in "vpn.frostburg.edu   and then enter your user credentials in the other field " and then select Connect.

Next a Sign In dialog will appear. Enter your FSU username (without the ‘@frostburg.edu.  Click connect.) and password and then click Sign In.

Once successfully connected you may minimize the client and access resources just as though you are on campus. will see the following window appear. You can close it out and continue with your work.

If necessary, the Help Desk may need to determine your IP address for the VPN connection.

Click on the GlobalProtect icon in your menu bar and then click Settings.

In the GlobalProtect Settings windows that appears, click on the Connection tab. There you can find your IP address.
