    Info

If you already have data stored in OneDrive, checking these folders will sync that data onto the PC you are installing this on. If you do not want your data to be downloaded onto your machine and keep it in the cloud only, you can uncheck the boxes.

Click through the intro slides (you can choose to download the OneDrive app onto your phone) and click "Open my OneDrive folder".
You will now see "OneDrive - Frostburg State University" appear in your sidebar in the File Explorer

  11. On the next slide, MAKE SURE TO CHECK THE "Open at login so my files sync automatically" BOX. If you don't, you'll have to manually re-launch OneDrive every time you log in, else your files won't sync. If you didn't check the box, you can always go to OneDrive > Preferences and check it there.

  12. You can now access your OneDrive - Frostburg State University folder. This is the folder you will save your data into from now on. Think of it like your H: drive, but with a lot more space! You can even copy all of the files from your H: drive over into your OneDrive folder.

  13. On Mac, sometimes the sync status icons don't show up automatically, so you need to turn it on manually. To do this, click the Apple icon in the top-left of your screen > System Preferences.

  16. If you see an icon with two arrows next to your folders, that means that they are syncing with the cloud. It may take a while depending on the size of your data. When it's finished syncing, you will see a green check mark.

  17. If you see a red "x", that means that there was a problem syncing. Usually, it means there is a file inside of that folder that OneDrive has a problem with. The majority of the time, it's an issue with the file name. Try renaming the file or check if there are any special characters.

  18. Now, say you're at home or on another machine and need access to your files. You used to have to connect to the VPN to access your H: drive files, but thanks to OneDrive, this is no longer necessary. Simply go to login.microsoftonline.com and sign in with your FSU email. Alternatively, you can go to www.frostburg.edu > Logins > Email and log in that way.

  19. Once logged in, click on the OneDrive icon.

  20. You now have access to all of your synced files. You can upload and download files from your cloud dashboard. With OneDrive, you have 1TB of space. That's over 400x more space than your H: drive!
